Latest Destination…

Greetings from Nha Trang, Vietnam! As of January, 2024 I am currently located in the country of Vietnam. My entry was on October 28th, 2023 to Hanoi, so I have been int the country a little while. Unfortunately I had to cut short my exploration of Japan due to a dental health issue. Another expat recommended some places i could get some work done in Hanoi for a really affordable price. Here’s a video I did a little while ago, with a tour guide in Hanoi from Youtube.

I had to wait a little while to complete the dental work, then I jumped on a bus for a ride upto Sapa Vietnam (7 hours) which is near the border of China, where I summited Mount Fanispan, the highest point in Indochina, quite an experience. The weather was a refreshingly cooler, much nicer than the toxic heat you may find in Bangkok, Siem Reap, or Phnom Penh, year round. Below the photo ill give you a bit more info on the other destinations I visited in Vietnam so far. There are several ways that you ca go to the summit. I chose a combination of cable car and hiking.

The next place I went to after Sapa, was Ninh Binh, Vietnam (technically the area called Tam Coc, which is where most tourists stay in Ninh Binh. This city is about 2 hours south of Hanoi. There are numerous interesting sites situated around Ninh Binh. Ninh Binh Tam Coc is a beautiful area in northern Vietnam that is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It has stunning rice field landscapes, limestone cliffs, and waterways that look like Halong Bay on land.  It is located about 2 hours south of Hanoi. Some of the tourist sites around Tam Coc are Tam Coc Boat Tour, Mua Cave Viewpoint, Bich Dong Pagoda, Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, and Bai Dinh Pagoda. Here is a video i filmed at some of these locations.

Here is the next destination. From here I took a bus to Da Nang Vietnam. Now in Vietnam, its winter and the north is getting colder, so i decided to try my hand with the beach. It was an 11 hour overnight bus ride and we arrived in the morning to storms in Da Nang. Drizzly blowing rain but not so chilly. Here is a video that details my trip on the bus on Youtube.
